Financial & Real Estate Services

Hazardous substances, their treatment and removal, are governed by numerous federal, state, and local regulations. Federal legislation such as the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Cleanup and Liability Act (CERCLA), adopted in 1980, were promulgated to address these very issues. Under CERCLA, current or previous owners and/or operators of property may be held liable for the presence of hazardous waste contamination at the site regardless of whether or not they were responsible for the contamination. As a supplement to CERCLA, the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) of 1986 contains clauses to protect property owners who purchase land which later is found to be contaminated.

NORM Surveys

Arkwood Engineering is a Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TCEQ) registered LPST Corrective Action Specialist.
